This is the leadership level of this job family where employees are assigned responsibilities for providing leadership to other park ranges as well as patrolling all areas of a park or resort to ensure the security of property and individuals. Informs visitors of ecological and cultural heritage of Oklahoma.Develops park ranger budget and monitors expenditures.Develops policies and procedures related to park ranger duties and responsibilities provides training and supervision to assigned staff.Represents the agency in court during legal proceedings provides testimony or presents evidence as required assists other law enforcement agencies and officials as needed.Conducts investigations makes arrests and seizes property or contraband prepares reports and forms.Aids visitors as needed assures compliance with established laws, rules, and regulations collects fees for camping and other activities.The functions within this job family will vary by level but may include the following: Patrols assigned areas within a state park/resort provides security and protection for property, visitors, and staff.This includes ensuring the safety and welfare of park/resort visitors and assigned staff. The annual salary for this position is $39,965.
